Biography

Esther Olubunmi  BABATUNDE is a Lecturer I in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Ilorin with more than six years of university teaching, research, and administrative experience.

She has served as a Level Adviser, Secretary of the Departmental Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards(CCMAS) Review Committee, and Departmental Welfare officer. Her research interest includes renewable energy, the synthesis of heterogeneous catalysts for application in biofuel production, biomass conversion, waste management, seed oil utilization, and Biochemical Engineering.

She has published peer-reviewed journal articles and edited conference proceedings in the area of biofuel production, reaction and kinetics studies as well as biochemical Engineering and catalysis. She has successfully supervised 10 undergraduate students’ research projects. Dr. Babatunde is a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers and she is registered as an Engineer by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
