Prof. R.O. Yusuf is a Professor of Chemical/Environmental Engineering. He holds a B.Sc and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Environmental Engineering. He had six and ten years of experience respectively in the Pulp/Paper and Cement industries before crossing into the academic world. His areas of interest are solid waste generation/control, water and wastewater generation/treatment, air pollution monitoring/control, climate change and greenhouse gases studies and analyses, life cycle analysis, and carbon/water footprints. He has published extensively in local, national and international publishing outlets many of which are in the Q1 and Q2 categories. He has also served as HOD of the Chemical Engineering Department and has represented the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in various committees in the University. He is a football administrator and successfully coached the NSE Ilorin football team to win the 2023 football cup of the National Engineering Games in Abuja.
