Dr Odetoye holds two doctoral degrees (Ph.D. Chemical Engineering obtained from LAUTECH and Ph.D. Chemistry from University of Ilorin). She had been a Reader at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Ilorin. Her research interests include biofuels, biomass and bioenergy, polymer recycle, coatings technology, alkyd resins, industrial utilization of vegetable oils and sustainable process/product development.
She had served as a reviewer to various reputable academic journal outfits both locally and internationally. She had also served as resource person, external examiner to local and international professional bodies and university. She had been awarded the L’Oreal-UNESCO for Women in Science, Sub-Saharan Africa Fellowship in 2014, Visiting Scholarship to Aston University Birmingham, United Kingdom under the auspices of European Bioenergy Research Institute, in 2012 and an alternate awardee of the Association of American University Women fellowship. She is registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). She is a Past Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers Ilorin Branch.
